Traffic Barrels (also known as Traffic Drums) are highly visible channelizing devices that can increase driver awareness of potential hazards or irregularities in the roadway.  Barrels are optimal for keeping workers, pedestrians, and drivers safe in both local road and highway construction and maintenance zones.  A line of traffic barrels can work to warn drivers well in advance of on oncoming roadwork. 

Barrel Material and Certification

Our channelizing barrels are tested and assured to meet or exceed standards set by the Federal Highway Administration.  These barrels meet and exceed MUTCD standards with a NCHRP crash test rating of 350. 

Our barrels are designed for both superior rebound-ability and durability.  Select either High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE).  HDPE barrels are more rigid will retain their rebound-ability under high temperature conditions, making them optimal for warmer climates and summer roadwork.  LDPE barrels are lighter and more flexible, making them ideal for cooler or winter roadwork.

Barrel Reflective Tape Options:

Our barrels come with multiple reflective tape options. Type A or C flashing barricade lights can be mounted on top for increased nighttime visibility.

Custom Stenciling and Molding Available:

Custom stenciling and molding can prevent theft of traffic barrels or help identify and organize them.  They can also be great for marketing and give your barrels a professional look.  

Folding Light Feature:

The design of these barrels allows for lights (sold separately) to be folded down on the barrel and stacked with the barrel during storage.  This dramatically reduces set-up time and complications in transportation.
